Ways to Serve

We believe God has called his church to "seek the good of the city." (Jer. 29) To be apart of helping it flourish. Thats why we started Inklings, to be a place for connection and community. We also believe Inklings is a place for the church to come together with the community. We host events and meetings through out the year to connect with people from our community and demonstrate the love and hospitality of Jesus. We have a variety of ways to serve at Inklings and the best way to get connected is by signing up for our City Renewal Team.

ALPHA

Alpha is a series of conversations about things we all question in life: Why do bad things happen to good people? What's the purpose of life? What's next? If you're looking for a judgment-free space to ask hard questions and share your own opinion, there's a place for you. We believe God uses his church to invite people into his plan for renewal. Click below to learn ways you can invite people into a safe conversation about Jesus, life and faith.

WEDNESDAY WISDOM

Join us for Wednesday Wisdom, a Bible Study open to all, whether you're a Christian or still exploring. Hosted by Pastor Joe, this session takes place during lunch from 12-1 pm every Wednesday.

Designed to nurture your understanding of the scriptures, and deepen your relationship with God and others while addressing any big questions you may have about the Bible, Wednesday Wisdom welcomes everyone! Bring a friend who doesn't consider themselves a Christian! For more information email Pastor Joe Jewell.

FOSTER CARE AWARENESS MONTH | MAY 2024

May is Foster Care Awareness Month.

It's a sobering reality that more children enter foster care than there are families available to care for them. Statistics paint a grim picture, showing that over half of domestically recovered child sex trafficking victims come from foster care backgrounds, and youth in foster care are twice as likely to develop Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

We've united with churches across California and Foster the City not just to raise awareness but also to invite you to join us in prayer. Together, seeking our Heavenly Father to raise up foster families within VCC and raise up Support Friends.

Will you join us in prayer throughout May, asking God to raise up at least one foster family within VCC? You can also utilize our daily prayer guide to lead you through your time of intercession. Check out the missions table in the lobby ALL MONTH IN MAY for more information.
